Jack Daly of the Durham Herald Sun - Defense not only factor in Final Four runs: "Before North Carolina is condemned because of its defensive liabilities, it should be noted that the worst two defensive teams to reach the Final Four in the last six years were both coached by Roy Williams."


Duke
Defense always standard for Duke : "Ten days ago, Duke's only senior, DeMarcus Nelson, was talking about the importance of scoring off turnovers. Where have I heard that one before?"


Virginia


Clemson
Baseball Widmann ready for his return: "After missing a year because of a neck tumor, the Tigers shortstop has been cleared to rejoin the team. Clemson coach Jack Leggett was grateful Stan Widmann at least heard him out. Leggett routinely meets with players during the fall to discuss their progress. He had a different spiel lined up for Widmann, who was rehabilitating from surgery to remove a benign tumor from his vertebrae."
